Radovljica hosted Slovenian Nationals in Road Cycling. From junior races to women and men elite we witnessed spectacular one day racing. Racing lap was very tough with many climbs and sketchy descents.

Domen Novak from Bahrain-Merida is a new Slovenian Champion, who managed to escape in the very first kilometer of the race. They built fine gap and in the final part of the race he dropped Gašper Katrašnik and Marko Kump to win solo.

Tadej Pogačar was racing strong with Matej Mohorič and Primož Roglič, but they could not handle the breakaway and in the finale took 7th place.

“It was very nice course with lots of climbing, but the sun and heat added something to tired legs. I tried to raced hard but in the end it was enough for seventh. I am satisfied, there will be more chances in coming years. After all competitions I need some break and then I will start with some altitude training to prepare for second part of the season.”
